The duration of the return journey from Marrakech to Erg Chigaga varies based on the available time, spanning 3, 4, or 5 days. All the tour options include a stay of 2 nights at our luxurious Erg Chigaga desert camp. The extended itineraries offer a more leisurely pace, with reduced daily driving, allowing for ample time to savor the attractions and scenic beauty along the way.

The camp is situated a 9-hour drive from Marrakech, not including stops, and is positioned 60 km off-road from the nearest town, M’Hamid. To reach the camp, a 4×4 vehicle is necessary to navigate through sand, dried lake beds, and rocky terrain. This remote location guarantees an absence of tour buses and mass tourism. Once arrived, it’s common to ascend the dune’s summit and encounter solitude, offering an environment of perfect serenity and peace.

During your stay at the camp, all meals, beverages (both non-alcoholic and alcoholic), and guided camel excursions are provided. Additional activities such as sandboarding, guided walks, lunch, enjoying sundowners on the dunes, and informal gatherings with singing and drumming around the campfire are also part of the package.

Transportation is facilitated in a private 4×4 Land Cruiser, accompanied by a charismatic and responsible English-speaking driver. As your journey is private, you have the flexibility to pause wherever you wish for sightseeing, photography, and refreshments. While your experienced driver knows the finest stopping points, the trip’s course is adaptable to your preferences, as it is ultimately your journey.
